Why Cataracts?
East Africans face numerous challenges, including poverty and communicable diseases—many of which are complex and difficult to solve. However, preventing and curing blindness caused by cataracts is one of the simplest and most immediate solutions to a very real issue in the region. A quick, 15-minute surgery can transform lives, restoring sight and empowering entire families and communities.
